Class sizes average 22 students through 3rd grade and 31 students for grades 4 and 5.
Meadows offers a number of student programs:
The Growing Great Classroom Education Program is one of the best programs in the state. Third, 4th and 5th grade students can participate about 5 times per year and learn to make healthy food choices.
The Grades of Green program is utilized by a number of elementary schools in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District. This is a wonderful and unique program that lets the children participate in Trash Free lunches two days of the week. This helps decrease the amount of trash generated by the students and teaches them to help to our environment. This program is run in association with a nonprofit of the same name.
The Young at Art program allows kids to take an artistic journey through art appreciation and diverse hands-on art projects using multiple mediums.
Studies have shown that cardio exercise in the morning promotes better mood, concentration and academic performance. The Meadows Running Club is active from September through May and offers a before-school morning run 4 days a week.
